A couple of hours ago it was -35F including windchill, and we got a whiteout blizzard yesterday night, which was preluded by rain that froze on the roads creating a veritable metro-wide ice rink.
But besides this craptastic weather, I’m still leaving the house today. Costco’s calling my name!

It’s been really warm here for the past few days, but it’s supposed to sleet and be gross out tonight. And in a few days I’m headed to New Hampshire, where an ice storm last week caused my parents to lose heat and electricity for 3 days…I can’t wait!

i only survive because this reality because it’s all i’ve ever known. plus, i have my hardcore viking ancestors to thank for making me the kind of human who can deal with this kind of weather. i should buy a horned headdress and wear it whenever i leave the house 🙂
