Floor-buffing wheelchair new low in offensive inventions
Japan aims to make people in wheelchairs more useful by creating a floor-buffing and cleaning wheelchair. I like wheelchair snowplows, but for some reason this pisses me off. I think it’s because the person in the wheelchair has absolutely no control of it. Talk about an invalid-ey feeling. – Tiff

Wha? Some actually wish to be have an amputation
I’m always endlessly amused by the wack-job psychosis that humans can sometimes develop. Acrotomophilia – the desire to be an amputee – has to be one of the weirdest ones out there. These individuals strongly believe they were destined to be an amputee, and won’t feel complete/whole until an amputation of one of their limbs (usually a leg, beneath the knee) takes place.
