My name is Tiffiny Carlson and I’m a writer and blogger from Minnesota. I have a C5-6 incomplete spinal cord injury from a diving accident in 1993 and I’ve been blogging and sharing life with a spinal cord injury, dating with a disability advice and adaptive fashion tips online since 1997.
I’m the Communications Manager of SPINALpedia.com. I was also the SCI Life columnist for New Mobility Magazine for 12 years (’03 – ’17) and I’ve written disability-centric articles for mainstream sites like the Huffington Post, Penthouse, Playgirl and Nerve.com over the years.
I also speak on issues related to self-esteem as a woman with a disability. I’ve spoken at the Push Nation Fest and I was the featured speaker at the Morton Cure Paralysis Fund. It would be a huge step for anyone whose a hero to take up our story. The bbc video has almost 30,000 views, we have fans all over the world!
i have been sending this idea to everyone, many charitires including SCOPE/SHINE/DISABILITY RIGHTSare behind us and scope will be championing us after their
latest campaign has finished! Charities and journalists and people across
the globe want to see something like this….it seems only old fashioned or ill informed people at the top are in the way!
Please, be the first to help us with our cause, remember one in 20 kids have some form of disability, they want to be seen, to be viewed differently,
This project and its aims have exhausted me, its taken all of me, i am a fighter for disability rights as well as a proud dad and artist,
please please please dont turn this away like so many, disability isnt scary…you know! its amazing. we just need nationwide exposure and surely someone with
